“What is a Free Election?”
The transition to an electoral system that provides sustainable representation for local communities requires educating the body politic on the standards and norms of transparent democratic elections. People Demand Change has supported the efforts of INGOs in their mission to introduce electoral models to local councils and CSOs with the creation of an election booklet. This booklet is an educational tool on the standards and norms for setting up transparent electoral systems. It explains “What is a free election?” and how to keep local municipal governments accountable in providing social services.
