Air Raids near Raqqa

On Wednesday, Western coalition planes launched two raids on sections of northern Raqqa, while a coalition drone raid took place on the Raqqa industrial area. Seven air raids were launched on the outskirts of Raqqa on Sunday. Five raids were in the northern outskirts of the city and 2 were in western outskirts of the city. The raids targeted ISIS columns leaving Raqqa, which were headed in the direction of rural eastern Aleppo. The raids led to massive destruction of said column – the exact nature of the damage remains unspecified. All of this was done with constant aerial reconnaissance over the city. ISIS radar, taken from Iraq, triggered 24-hour air raid sirens in areas under ISIS’s area of influence.
In eastern Madan, eastern rural Raqqa. ISIS closed Dr. Abdullah Uthm’s pediatric clinic for 24 hours due to reports of smoke coming from inside the building.
In the Rural North:
8 Km West of Tal Abyad, YPG Units arrested 17 year-old student Maher Ali Aliksom. The charges were reported as unclear and arbitrary.
Eight kilometers south of Reef Tal Abiyad, near the al Kantari junction, there was a mine explosion in areas contested between the YPG and ISIS. Five wounded YPG members were taken to hospitals in Qamashli and Ras al Ain.
