Raqqa
• The city of Raqqa witnessed an intensive overhead presence of international coalition planes as they were conducting aerial Reconnaissance in the skies of Raqqa city. There were 5 planes in total.
• Coalition planes launched a raid on the Maghala barricade, which is held by ISIS, 10 Km west of Madan city. Several coalition strikes on the barricade killed all of the ISIS elements present. It is estimated that 15 ISIS members were killed.
• In Tabqa city, just west of Raqqa, a Tunisian member of ISIS, opened fire upon and wounded a woman for her lack of compliance to a “sharia appropriate” style of dressing.
• In the city of Raqqa, there is a new organization that intends to open a slave trade of Shiite men who were captured in battle in Iraq.
Northern Areas
• North of Raqqa, Suluk city witnessed the emergence of a local led demonstration on the outskirts of the town. The demonstration called for the YPG to allow Suluk residents to return to their homes. The residents used known peaceful slogans and chants. The YPG had previously repelled Suluk residents with gunfire, while also prohibiting them from returning to their homes. In Tal Abyad, negotiations between representatives of the Suluk community and the YPG resulted in promises of opening the city to returning residents this coming Sunday.
• PYD police units arrested the following people: 1) Khalil Abeed age 62 and 2) Ali Khalil Abeed age 21
• ISIS has been publicly claiming that all teachers in Tal Abyad and its surrounding areas are apostates.
• The Jazeera Canton legislative council issued the decision to acquire properties belonging to émigrés from their Arab and Kurdish regions and to invest the properties into self-managed organizations, while also cancelling all contracts related to the buying, selling, mortgaging, and renting of said properties.
Aleppo
• Violent clashes took place in the rural north between ISIS and the FSA. The FSA targeted ISIS strongholds in the village of Herbal, while ISIS targeted the city of Marea.
Daraa
• In Hush Himad in the refuge area, violent battles took place. The FSA battled with al Nusra on one side and ISIS on the other.
Hassakeh
• Clashes took place between ISIS and the YPG on the southern outskirts of Hassakeh city.
