Israelis injured in new spate of stabbings

In the last few days, six Israelis have been injured and one assailant shot dead after a series of knife attacks. This comes in the wake of temporary restrictions being placed on Palestinians attempting to travel into Jerusalem’s Old City. The restrictions were introduced in an attempt to quell recent unrest. The Israeli military presence in the West Bank and in Jerusalem has intensified as have riots by Palestinians.
